Why is the ink ribbon coming out or breaking when I print?
The ribbon could either be under more stress or have more slack than designed.
Remove the tape cassette gently from the label maker and make sure that the ink ribbon is tight. If the ribbon is not tight then tighten it by turning the black spool in the cassette clockwise until the ink ribbon is tight against the label tape.
The ink ribbon in the tape cassette may also be broken or severed. Replace the tape cassette if that is the case. If the ink ribbon is intact, insert it back into the printer firmly or align it with the tape.
If the ink ribbon is coming out with the tape, you may try to feed it back into the cartridge or continue using the cartridge as this does not affect print quality.
