How to solve the ‘printer not found’ error with my LetraTag 200B?

 

If the LetraTag 200B is turned on and in active mode, but the LetraTag Connect application on your Android device cannot find the the printer, please double-check the following options:

 

 

  1. First power cycle the printer in case the printer’s Bluetooth is not switched on.
  • Remove the batteries of your printer.
  • Press the On/Off-button at least 10 times to remove all the power from the device.
  • Reinsert high quality non-rechargeable alkaline batteries.
  • Turn on your LetraTag 200B.
  1. Clear the Bluetooth cache of your mobile device.

Be aware: this will delete the Bluetooth configuration settings for all paired Bluetooth devices

  • Open your phone and go to “Settings”.
  • Select “Apps” and click on “Display System Apps”.
  • Next select “Bluetooth” > “Storage” > “Clear Cache”.
  • Exit settings and restart your phone.
  1. Check if the Bluetooth option is active on your mobile device.
  • Swipe down from the top of the screen.
  • Tap Bluetooth 
  • The symbol will light up.
  • The Bluetooth is now active.
  1. Alternative method to access the Bluetooth settings.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Select Connected devices.
  • Select Connection preferences.
  • Select Bluetooth.
  • Turn On Bluetooth
  1. If the LetraTag 200B appears in the Bluetooth list, but the application does not detect the printer. Please reinstall LetraTag Connect. Be aware, all saved labels will be deleted.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Select Apps and notifications.
  • Select See all apps.
  • Select LT Connect in the list.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • Navigate to the Store.
  • Search for LetraTag Connect.
  • Reinstall the app.
  1. Try again to print from the application.
  • Open LetraTag Connect.
  • Make sure your LetraTag 200B is turned on.
  • Edit your label and try to print.
  1. If the application still fails to detect the printer, check your Location services on your mobile device.
  2. Check if the Location option is active on your mobile device.
  • Swipe down from the top of the screen.
  • Tap Location 
  • The symbol will light up.
  • The Location is now active.
  1. Alternative method to access the Location settings.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Select Location.
  • Turn On Location.
  1. Try again to print from the application.
  • Open LetraTag Connect.
  • Make sure your LetraTag 200B is turned on.
  • Edit your label and try to print.
  1. If the issue persists, check additional Bluetooth features in Location.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Select Location.
  • Select Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning.
  • Turn On Wi-Fi scanning.
  • Turn On Bluetooth scanning.
  1. Try again to print from the application.
  • Open LetraTag Connect.
  • Make sure your LetraTag 200B is turned on.
  • Edit your label and try to print.
