How to completely uninstall the DYMO Software?

In case the DYMO software freezes or crashes repeatedly upon use, you repeatedly receive an error message when interacting with the software or some of the software features do not behave as intended, it may be necessary to remove all references to the software and install it again.

Below you will find steps to clean (completely) uninstall the DYMO software both for Mac and for Windows. There will be a version using the software installer (automated) and a manual version. Please remember, to perform a clean reinstall of the software, this will require you to delete both the software components as also the printer and its drivers.

Please note:

To uninstall using the installer, you need the Installer File from the currently installed software version. This method works with DYMO Label v.8.5.4 and higher, e.g. DYMO Connect 1.4.3.

You can find the version of the software as follows:

  • On Windows: Open the software → Help (in the top ribbon) → About DYMO …
  • On Mac: Open the software → DYMO … (next to the Apple logo) → About DYMO ….

Manually uninstalling the software and its references can be done with any software version.
